As epitaphs are being written for the non-professional, under graduate courses in the fields of Arts, Science and Commerce, the Graduate++ course, introduced by St Mira’s College for Girls comes like a breath of fresh air and rings some hope that the genre may be reaching the end of the tunnel.
The course is monitored and affiliated to SEED (Society for Education and Economic Development) New Delhi, and the only one in Pune, that aims at imparting training with innovative methodology and computes in the areas of HR, financial management, production management and so on.
As Dr Gulshan Gidwani, Principal, St Mira’s announced at the inauguration of the course, “This is open to all girl students and can be undertaken along with the graduation course at the University of Pune. The chief objective, being to enhance the employability of the graduate students.�
Arun Bhatia, Commissioner, Tribal Research and Training Institute, Pune and Chief Guest at the opening ceremony, urged the student community to “form groups and work on research based projects concerning have-not groups, environment improvement and better system governance�.
